Harmon's Machine Works, Inc. / Galleon Enterprise is equipped with a complete heat treatment facility located in the North shop and known as Midessa Heat Treat.
The heat treat facility has 2,000 sq. ft. of shop space, one controlled atmosphere 2000 degrees F furnace with 3,000 lb. capacity, one temper furnace 1500 degrees F with 3000 lb. capacity, and automated controls for temperature and atmosphere levels. The quench and material transfer is all handled by electric transfer cars without the need for a hoist. |
Midessa Heat Treat does all the heat treating for Harmon's Machine Works, Inc. / Galleon Enterprise and for other area machine shops. This enables Harmon's Machine Works, Inc. / Galleon Enterprise to insure the quality of heat treatment for all its products. |
